The wine and the beautiful Mariandl are probably the first associations that come to mind when thinking of the Wachau region (at least for those of a certain age). Anyone who has been touched by the film "Der Hofrat Geiger" knows that the Wachau has much more to offer though. For sure, everyone will realise this after a holiday in this beautiful region. Embark on a journey of discovery between Melk and Krems, a World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive landscapes in Austria.

The Wachau has a lot to offer: Explore, cycle and hike through the Wachau or take a stroll along the beautiful and historic places. Next to the Danube and the vineyard terraces, past churches, castles and monasteries, it is above all the Wachau villages that characterise this cultural landscape with their unique charm.
